DecoGLASS
Deco glass is most commonly used as an imitation leadlight. Leadlights are decorative windows made of small sections of glass supported in lead cames. Deco is done on single sheets of glass, with self-adhesive lead placed on one or both sides to replicate lead cames and a film placed on the surface to replicate the leadlight. This is far more cost effective than a traditional leadlight and is more practical for residential uses.
The term leadlight could be used to describe all windows in which the glass is supported by lead but traditionally, a distinction is made between stained glass windows and leadlights. Stained glass generally being associated with the windows of churches and other similar works of architecture whereas leadlights are commonly associated with the windows of commercial and domestic architecture. Deco can also be matched with obscure glass types to produce a stained glass effect.
